I have had my MME (56k miles) for 30 months and I have had my Lightning (30k miles) for 14 months and I haven’t had any issues. I have gotten software updates at night, a few recalls, but by and large, both vehicles perform great. Yes, I have to spend more time planning major trips, but we have always succeeded. Yes, I have run into a few quirks that make me scratch my head. I was aware of all EV shortcomings before any purchases, but I have found the benefits far exceed the shortcomings.

Or am I just a very lucky person?

We have a combined 56k miles on our '22 Mustang (44k) and '23 Lightning (12k), both purchased new. We have had a few very minor issues that are far less of an issue than we've had on previous vehicles.

About 60% to 75% of our driving has been road tripping. I define a road trip as far enough that we cannot go and return in one day, or about 300. miles one way.

I love my truck!
I have been fortunate to not have as many issues as some others on the forum. I am probably impatient with the updates so I’ve done most of them on my own with FDRS. CarPlay has always worked pretty well for me. Yes, occasionally there are gremlins, but generally a quick shut down and restart resolves whatever the issue was. I purchased mine new (March 2024) in Maryland and drove it back to Texas so that was my crash course in EV ownership, I did not know about the other options (I did route plan on Tesla‘s website prior to finalizing the purchase to make sure that I could make it home, but at that point I didn’t realize that only certain superchargers were open to us and that we would need an adapter) at the time so I used the Ford NAV and it worked just fine. 12,500 miles and all lights are green!(Well, at least as far as the truck goes🤣😂🤣)

Add me to the mostly satisfied list, no major problems and only longing for timely OTA's

I suspect most peoples experience is similar, pleasantly impressed with vehicle, love the fuel savings, scratching head a few times.

Pet peeve gripes Ford has quietly fixed via updates (ie whens last time anyone had a 12v issue?). Some things they can still do better - physical preconditioning control?

Tesla charger access fixed the one major downside of the truck - charged 46 times in last two weeks at DC chargers between ND and FL - 44 of them were at Tesla stations. Not a problem at any of them.

Overall satisfied as well. Have my gripes as well…almost entirely software related…would seem that’s where FMC needs to invest some more money.

Satisfied enough that Zeus got dropped of at the Port today to make an ocean sailing to Hawaii where we’re moving.

65k km's on mine now with no major problems.
Minor problems have been:
1)Right rear wheel speed sensor wiring was damaged(replaced under warranty)
2)Window switch module replacement due to stuck down rear pax window(common f150 problem).
3)running board light had condensation in it. (running board replaced under warranty)

Did a big road trip this month and got to use my charging adapter, worked great. Tesla charging is way more expensive though.

Drove 700kms last weekend, one charging stop each way, cost was $40cad for DC fast charging at petrocan and about another $10cad for the overnight L2 charge at family's house, so total about $50. My gas truck would have cost $131cad in fuel at least. Had I used Tesla, the DC fast portion goes up to $75-85Cad.

Everyday I drive is just money in the bank.

No issues with mine and the only regret of sorts is not splurging for the ER battery, though getting access to the Tesla supercharger network has made that less of an issue.

There is one place I go up in the mountains that only had 1 set of ratty shell fast chargers that are 50kw when they are working and last I used them didnt work often enough to be a pain when going straight up and back, I would end up needing ~2 hours of l2 charging to recoup enough to comfortable come back.

The supercharger being that has made that a non issue though.

Would still trade up to an ER if a good enough deal came along.

I have the same luck you are having.
Nothing special. Both vehicles are the first of their kind. MME Job1 and the first 2022 Lightning. First adaptor and I heard them all, (opinions that are).
Trouble free and I like them both.
I am not a gambler and I am lousy at picking lottery tickets.
My luck is and was very good with these vehicles. I still smile when I drive them. I have to credit my aviation training has prepared me to cope with the technological challenges of being the first adaptor.
I can only wish everyone the best and good luck.

Same here after 1 year with my 2023 Lightning Pro, but only a bit over 1200 miles (due to travel abroad and wife's illness).

The Tesla adapter promise is still a bit of an irritation.

The OTA software/12v battery issue (resolved) was a worry last summer.

The FCSP set up software was a problem, even for the Ford Customer Asst. person I contacted.
Never got it fully resolved - can't add it to FordPass app but I gave up trying - don't think I need that.

One super-hot summer day (100F), parked in an asphalt lot for 1/2 hours in direct sun - when I got back to the truck, I turned on the MAX COOL and got a strong smell of coolant - had to turn off AC and open windows. Later after home for a few hours and parked in the shade, tried the AC and no smell, or later in the summer either, so apparently a temporary intermittent coolant leak at a seal somewhere due to the extreme conditions.

The Bluetooth trying to play audio (from an iPod, a Zune and an XM Portable tuner) was terrible, lots of dropouts. I resolved the music problem 1) an old iTrip FM transmitter and my radio tuned to an unused channel and 2) an exfat formatted USB stick or SSD played through the data USB port.

Windshield wipers are terribly squeaky even in heavy rain - will replace with better quality ones eventually.

Minor annoyances.

But really, Ford could have done better. Except for the limited range, my 2012 Nissan Leaf EV got everything right - no OTA updates though in those days.
