@Ford Motor Company I love my '23 MY Lightening, I've been able to do everything that I thought I would be able to do with it based on how I spec'd it out. My one true concern is that I have read your announcements, on this forum regarding software updates but have not received an update in over 8 months.

How do I know if there is a problem or delay in how your distribution process is, if its not working or if there is something actually wrong with my vehicle receiving them? If I go to the dealership, they will charge me when all I want is to make sure that my vehicle is up to date on software.

Please advise...

Well at least we all gave Brian Not AI From Ford a few weeks on the job before someone asked the impossible question.

Rough one to answer first thing on Monday morning after the Superbowl, though.

Join the club. My last update was on September 3, 24. Not as long as you but long enough. There are many in the same boat.

There are a couple of us that went around a full year without a single update. There is nothing wrong with the truck. Its all comes down to the Ford OTA process being one step shy of a dumpster fire. Nothing to do but enjoy the truck. Its not easy to be patient, I get it.

If you take the mindset that "there are no software improvements"... you'll be happier.

I've gotten a couple of random updates here and there this year, but there doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason to them. No matter how I connect my truck, no matter what I do, it always shows that there are no updates available when there most certainly are

Don't hold your breathe waiting for a response. Message me the VIN and I can give you some insight into how behind you are and if there are any connectivity issues with your truck. However, as was stated before, Ford's OTA process is unpredictable and unreliable and going months without updates is not out of the norm.

That red line at zero percent SoC was a useful add.

And remember, we're getting Blue Cruise 1.4 by the end of the year. "What year?" you may ask, which is the best part, they won't tell us!

Super hard to justify spending $800/year on BlueCruise when they won't let anyone try the new features.

Alternatively there are a handful of users with lengthy FDRS subscriptions. If you DM them your VIN they can pull a screenshot of what modules in your truck are due for updates.
rugedraw is one of them.

. Unfortunately there's no release notes to say what they are adding or fixing. There's an off chance someone in your region has the hardware to push these updates and would do it for a nominal fee.

I am still highly anticipating the overpromised and under delivered blues clues 1.4 that we were going to get at the end of the year ~circa 2028.

If the issue is there are updates available but they won't install, usually it is the LV battery is not at a sufficient SOC (80-85%) and there are a bunch of threads about that: solution is to leave the truck plugged into the FCSP for several hours and make sure you have the BMS fix in CSP 23B70.

Check your update history and CSP status at the Ford web site.

I have a 2023 and had updates recently, this is my list accessed from the web site:

Software Updates

Karaoke and Public Charging

Stingray Karaoke

• Make memories while on your next road trip or tailgating event with the new Stingray Karaoke app, with 80,000+ songs to choose from.

• To get started, tap the Apps menu and select the Stingray Karaoke app.

• When parked, the lyrics will be displayed on the in-vehicle screen.

• As you drive, passengers can scan the QR Code from the in-vehicle screen and sing along, by viewing the lyrics on their phone.

Public Charging

• The enhanced Public Charging application is now accessible to all electric vehicle users, even while driving. This upgrade allows customers to easily search for and navigate to public charging stations. Furthermore, members of the BlueOval™ Charge Network can conveniently activate chargers directly from their vehicle’s screen, enhancing their charging experience.

*Ford Premium Connectivity and modem activation is required to use the Stingray Karaoke app. For more details, go to the Connected Services tile in the FordPass App or visit Ford.com/connectedservices.

Software Update 6.14.0

12/14/2024

Your vehicle has been updated with following:

Enhancements to Digital Infotainment

We’ve listened to your feedback and we’re making changes to your SYNC system so that it’s simpler and easier to use on the go. Please continue to send your feedback and we will continue to work on improvements. Changes we’ve made in this update:

• Replaced the Display Brightness Slider with +/- buttons to make it easier to use on your drive.

• Combined the USB and Bluetooth Media sources into a single app for easy access.

• Added new Onboard Scales, and Smart Hitch apps for eligible vehicles.

• Moved the Sketch app into the “Entertainment” page so it’s easier to find.

• Updated the icons on the top bar to make them easier to see.

• Added a phone battery icon on phone app screens.

Public Charging (If Applicable)

• The Public Charging application, previously known as Charge Assist, can be located in your application drawer, where other apps live.

• You can now start and pay for charging on the BlueOval™ Charge Network without requiring a smartphone. Filter by charge speed and network while staying informed about real-time information about new chargers, such as availability and those under repair.

• A new map view has been added, allowing you to visibly search for nearby chargers and quickly see what's available.

AM Broadcast Radio• AM broadcast radio is now available for listening through your audio system and can be controlled just like FM or SiriusXM channels. This gives you even more flexibility in how you can access your favorite sports, talk and news content - including receiving Emergency Alert System notifications.

Ford Power-Up

12/08/2024

An update that’s music to your ears.

Just a quick note to let you know some refinements have been made to keep things running at their best. This update addresses the issue where radio presets have been affected during vehicle software updates. Talk about something to sing about.

Priority Update 23-PU0110-RAD-PS

--------------------
If you're missing any, could be a LV battery issue.

They are delivered OTA so if you live in an AT&T cell dead zone, that could be a problem as well.
(Maybe they can come over your wifi as well, not sure about that.)

good luck
